Good win on Saturday against Solihull. For those of us who went to the correct ground and got there on time, the first half was bit frustrating, looking very much like what it was, an early season game where rythmn and awareness were still being searched for. After the break things improved and we scored some well-worked tries, a one-handed pass around the back of a tackler from Ricky Hyslop leading to what might have been the pick of the crop. And blow me, was it hot!!! It was too hot to spectate, let alone play.

Neat Saturday (19th. K.O 3.00pm) its the turn of Stoke -on-Trent to visit Weddington. So far they've lost to Leamington and Dudley Kingswinford so a win looks to be imperative if we're to stay with the pace. The league is already showing some definite trends with Bournville, Stratford and Sutton looking to be strong.

So come along and shout the Eds on to victory.

If you want to join the FF club and help to keep the club looking good and feeling better, then just come down to the clubhouse any Friday morning at 11.00am and join in with the working parties. Take a look around and see how much better the club grounds look now that we've removed about ten black plastic bags full of litter, but there is still plenty of work to do and your help will be more than appreciated.

The Friday Farts ahve been busy during the summer months and you only have to look at the club and its surroundings to see the effect. We're mighty proud of what we've achieved but we've got plans for the winter too. So come along on a Friday and help for a couple of hours. You'll find it cures insomnia, flatulence and is ideal for aleviating that strange buzzing sensation in the ears that you get from too long an exposure to marital partners! (Only kidding Lin).
